The Sixth Chania Santa Run took place yesterday in a festive atmosphere with record numbers of participants wearing Santa Claus costumes.
The run covered a distance of around 3,5 km through the historic centre of Chania, with the sole purpose of raising money for four institutions that care for children: elepap, kifaamea, kifap, horass.
Up to now the charity raised 240.000 euros for the four institutions. This year, it hopes to raise 100.000 euros for children in need.
