Flashnews.gr — A search and rescue operation was launched in the early hours of Sunday morning for a 63 year old man, believed to be a Danish citizen, who was reported missing on Saturday evening.
The man was hiking on the E4 path at Lefka Ori close to Askifou Plateau when he called the european emergency number 112 to ask for help. He then called his wife to tell her he was well but made no further contact and his mobile signal has been lost – it is thought that his battery run out.
