On Wednesday morning workers from the Region of Crete technical department removed an 11 tonne boulder hanging over the heads of motorists on the national road at Skepasti, Rethymno.
The operation involved the use of a high pressure water pump washing away the rock’s hold on the embankment. After that another pull by the digger brought the rock down.
