A teenager was arrested in Chania last night while setting fire on a municipal dustbin in Sfakianaki in the centre of town.
Setting dustbins on fire seems seems to have become the latest pastime for bored Chania youths who moved on from defacing buildings with graffitti.
An increasing number of incidents were recorded since October with the suspects being teenagers according to local media reports.
In the last week alone the fire brigade was called to deal with ten dustbin fires in various parts of Chania.
