eKathimerini — Police in Heraklion, Crete confiscated more than 14,000 euros in cash and arrested 13 suspects in a single raid on an illegal gambling den in a coffee shop, reports said Friday.

A thorough search of the premises was conducted after officers running a routine inspection on the establishment – owned by two men, aged 37 and 42, both of whom have been arrested – noticed that a group of patrons were playing a game of dice for money.

Police also found that the coffee shop did not have an operating license of any kind.
