The leader of Chania farmers Sofoklis Tsourounakis called his members to turn up at the road blocks and support the farmer’s protests .
However the farmers association announced there will be a minimal disruption for the public on the roads of Crete.
The farmers are planning to close the national road at Aptera junction on Saturday and Sunday at 12 midday and at 17:00.
The blockade is not expected to last long, as it is only a ‘symbolic move’ but if you are travelling at around the times announced give yourself plenty of time.
