Greek Reporter — The attendance at Matala Beach Festival 2016 over the weekend exceeded expectations with visitors packed onto the beach and the camping grounds filled at capacity with festival-goers.
The festival showcased many bands and genres of music. Some bands performed classic rock the from the ’60s and ’70s and a touch of hard rock and heavy metal of the ’90s.
Matala is well known for its man-made caves carved out of the rock thousands of years ago in the steep cliffs that rise above the north side of the bay.
