Makeshift mosque attacked on Crete

A house believed to be a makeshift mosque in the Cretan city of Heraklio was the target of a failed bomb attack on Monday, police said.

According to investigators, unknown assailants placed four small gas canisters and a large firecracker at the entrance to the building.

The firecracker went off but failed to ignite the gas, the investigation team said, adding that they are hoping to find fingerprints on the canisters.
