Greek lawyers extend strike again over austerity measures

eKathimerini — The Athens Bar Association on Wednesday announced that it was extending its ongoing strike action until May 24, the date of the next Eurogroup summit, where a decision is expected on the Greek reform program and the release of further bailout funding.

Lawyers have been on strike since the beginning of the year in protest at a new wave of austerity measures, including pension cuts and tax hikes that were voted through Parliament last week.
