The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-2016 list the best global universities and are the only international university performance tables to judge world class universities across all of their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
The top universities rankings employ 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available, which are trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments.
Amongst Greek universities, which rank pretty law in the world rankings, the University of Crete comes top once again, placed in the 351 – 400 group. The popular Athens University is ranked among the 401- 500 group, together with the University of Ioannina, while the prestigious Athens Polytechnic ranks even below that, in the 501 – 600 group.
The University of Thessaloniki and the Athens business school are in the 601-800 group the lowest classification.
Could have done better – a lot of room for improvement there.
