A series of earthquakes shook east Crete over the last 12 hours. Just after midnight a 4.3R under the sea south of Heraklion was felt as far as Rethymnon.
This morning at two minutes past 5, another 4.4R followed a 3.2R quake in the same sea area east of Ierapetra.
No damage to buildings was reported in either incident.
