eKathimerini — Seven Turkish aircraft violated Greek national air space 15 times in the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean Wednesday, the latest in a series of infractions.
The Turkish jets, five of which were flying in formation and two separately, also violated the Athens Flight Information Region four times.
The aircraft were not armed and there were no dogfights, according to Greek defence officials who said the Turkish jets were chased off by Greek planes.
The transgressions came on the same day that Turkey’s Minister for European Affairs Omer Celik met with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in Athens for talks that focused on the refugee crisis.
