One of four driverless buses that started operating in the central city of Trikala in September veered off the road Thursday and crashed into a street kiosk.
It remained unclear what provoked the accident, which caused minor damage and no injuries.
Trikala was chosen for a European pilot program to test a driverless bus in real traffic conditions for the first time, part of a project aimed at weaning cities off fossil fuel dependency over the coming decades.
