eKathimerini –The Council of State, Greece’s highest administrative court, has ruled that the ENFIA property tax had been miscalculated in four areas, and was therefore illegal, following appeals by taxpayers. The decision referred to the areas of Psyhico and Filothei in northern Athens, Neos Voutzas, in northeastern Attica, and Delphi.
The court ruled that the ENFIA rates in those areas had been calculated horizontally and without taking into account certain elements regarding the properties’ so-called objective values.
The court was expected to rule on more appeals filed by thousands of taxpayers across the country.
