A strong earthquake struck off the island of Lefkada on Tuesday morning, rattling all the Ionian islands and being felt as far as the Greek capital of Athens 385 kilometers away.
According to initial reports from the Geodynamic Institute, the tremor measured around 6 on the Richter scale and took place at 9.11 a.m., with its epicenter located 11 kilometers off the island’s southwest coast at a depth of 5 kilometers.
There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.

Lasted for about 30 secs, cracking noise from the walls and ceilings, things fell down from open locker doors, small cracks in some brick walls. Was the strongest in the last 2 years. Family got scared.
