After southern Peloponnese and Preveza suffered severe damages from thunderstorms earlier in the week, the island of Skopelos became a disaster area after the floods caused by thunderstorms late on Tuesday night.
The continuous heavy rainfall turned the roads parallel to the coast into rushing rivers, sweeping down cars, kiosks and power poles.
Vehicles turned over, shops and homes got flooded, while boats were washed on shore as Skopelos residents ran to take shelter.
