Tornos News — Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall Camilla are set to make their first official visit to Greece on 9 and 10 May and the programme includes a stay in Athens and Crete.
The Prince will meet with Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, while the Duchess pays a visit to the Kaisariani Monastery and a local shelter for women who have suffered abuse.
The couple are then scheduled to head to Palaio Faliro coastline suburb where they will visit the cruiser Georgios Averof and a reconstruction of an ancient Athenian oar-powered warship, followed by a tour of the Phaleron War Cemetery, where Commonwealth soldiers that died during WWII and the Greek Civil War are buried.
On day two the royals will head to Heraklion where they will be given a guided tour of the Minoan Palace of Knossos, and have been invited to take part in a traditional Cretan glenti with food, drink, music and dance.
