Platanias is to put an end to advertising signs that have sprung out in the municipality.
The council’s plan, presented to representatives of business interests in Platanias last week , is to regulate the type and number of road side advertising signs.
There was a general agreement that the new regulations will improve the image of the municipality. Platanias mayor Yannis Malandrakis said that self regulation is important, as there is an excessive number of unauthorised number of advertising signs in Platanias.
