No ferry services on November 28 as seamen’s union joins strike

The Panhellenic Seamen’s Union (PNO) announced last week it will participate in a 24 hour strike called for 28 November by the private sector union, GSEE. This means there will be no ferry services on the day, starting one minute after midnight on Wednesday and ending at midnight on Thursday. The action will affect all categories of ships, the union said.

Passengers travelling on the dates affected are advised to contact the ferry company or travel agent for any possible timetable changes or last-minute cancelation of the strike.

Athens will also be left without metro, electric railway and tram services on the day of the strike and city buses will only run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
