eKathimerini — The government has announced its intention to implement existing anti-smoking laws which have largely been flouted. Health Minister Andreas Xanthos told a Parliament committee on Thursday that the current legislation will be strictly enforced and revealed plans to draft a national anti-smoking campaign.
But the government was slammed by Potami MP Constantinos Bargiotas for “actively promoting smoking by example as ministers and doctors smoke in front of TV cameras” and that there was no backlash.
