Daily record — Author Karon Grieve was the only passenger on the last Jet2 flight of the season from Glasgow to Heraklion.
The writer and telly food expert was flying to Crete on Sunday afternoon to work on her latest novel A Cosy Crime.
Karon who appears on STV The Hour and BBC Radio Scotland, says retreating to a quiet resort is a great way to focus on her writing.
Karon, from Dunlop, in Ayrshire, said: “When I turned up for the flight, I expected it to be quiet because it’s the very end of season and most people are coming home.
Watching ‘the most amazing lightening storm’ during the flight added to ‘the magic of this once in a lifetime experience’. Karon said.
Direct flights from Glasgow to Heraklion restart on 3 May 2018.
