Heavy rainfall caused problems across Chania prefecture yesterday.
Homes flooded in the town of Chania with several roads closing. The fire service responded to dozens of calls for pumping water out of basements and flooded roads, Tree falls were reported in Souda, while thunder struck the electricity network causing power cuts in several parts of the town.
