Three people lost their lives this morning in a head-on collision between two cars on the national road.
The accident happened just before 8:00 this morning in Heraklion – Moires section of the road before the Athanatoi. Two women 80 and 35 years of age and a 50 year old man who was driving the second vehicle had to be cut out of their mangled cars. They were pronounced dead on the spot and their bodies were taken to the coroners mortuary in Heraklion Hospital .
Traffic police is investigating the cause of the accident.
