Parakritika.gr — A gas cylinder exploded in a cafe /restaurant in the popular Courts Square in Chania at around 9 o’clock in the evening, Wednesday.
Customers and staff noticed a strong smell of gas before the explosion and started to vacate the building before the explosion happened; as a result there were no injuries.
The restaurant was badly damaged.
The fire services were called again in the early hours to put out an electrical fire linked to the explosion.
