Manchester Evening News reports that three hundred holidaymakers were stranded in Heraklion airport after a flight back to Manchester was delayed overnight on Sunday.
Thomson flight TOM2745 from Heraklion was originally due to arrive back in the UK at 5.35pm on Sunday, was re-scheduled to land at 9.25am on Monday morning, but according to Manchester airport information, it is now expected to land in T2 at 12:17 local time.
A fault with the plane was reported and the airline is believed to have send a part out to Crete so that the fault can be fixed.
