 Kallikratis – Kapsodasos Road

The road between Kallikratis and Kapsodasos is a sharply winding and precipitous ascent in a steep and narrow zig-zag road in southwest Crete. This mountainous road, which rarely permits speeds over 30km/h, is 11km long and the expected time to drive the whole route is around 24 minutes, with 27 hairpin turns that will take you from the sea level to 800 meter high. This road is one of the most famous hairpinned roads in the world.

Spectacular serpentine road located in the south coast of Crete with a length of 11.9km, between the town of hora1Hora Sfakion and the plateau of Anopolis. The road has 19 hairpins and starts in Hóra Sfakíon or Sfakia, a town on the south coast of Crete, capital of the remote and mountainous region of Sfakiá and ends in Anopolis, a small village, built on a small but fertile plateau, at an elevation of 600 m above the sea level, located in the southern areas of the White Mountains.

 

 

Agia Sophia Cave – Gorge of Topolia road

Narrow and curvy mountain road climbing up to the the cave of Agia Sofia, located 47km southwest of Chania, on the western walls of the gorge Topolia.The cave is located near the main road to Elafonisi, Greece. Topolia is located in west Crete, on the road to Elafonissi beach.

The road includes some steep sections, without market central lines, is very narrow, barely wide enough for 2 cars at the same time and it has not protections or guardrails. The surface of the road is asphalt.
