It would seem that at last the new wing of Chania airport is completed and will open by the end of next week in time to meet the peak demand of the tourist season. It seems that the wait is over and that passengers will soon be able to enjoy travelling through Chania in comfort.
The long awaited airport upgrade has been plagued by delays and in 2015 the airport management decided to risk closing up half of the airport passenger terminal to speed up the upgrade.
Local press zarpanews.gr gained a preview of the terminal and has published exclusive photos.
