A wealthy 54 year old Cretan businessman has gone missing in Heraklion on Thursday. The authorities treat his disappearance as abduction after two burnt out cars, a BMW and a truck were discovered in a remote area outside the town.
So far there is no more information from the police who claim that they have no leads. It is believed that a ransom demand for an undisclosed amount was made to the family of the business man. The family is said to be waiting for some proof that the missing man is still alive.
