A 35 year old man died in a fatal accident shortly after 8 a.m., in Minothiana village, close to Kolimbari, Chania, when a car collided head on with a light goods lorry. the cars were traveling on the Old National Road.
The driver of the car who had to be cut out of his car died on his way to the hospital. The lorry driver, a 70 year old man, was transferred to the hospital with light injuries.
Traffic police are investigating the cause of the accident.
