Paris to Heraklion flight makes emergency landing

A Transavia Airlines Boeing 738made an emergency landing at Venice Marco Polo on Thursday after smoke was detected in the cockpit. The plane was on route to Heraklion from Paris with 172 passengers and 7 crew on board.

Marco Polo closed its runway to other traffic as a precaution.

The plane landed safely and the passengers continued their journey to Heraklion after safety checks with an hours delay.
