The President of Minoan Lines, Mr Emanuele Grimaldi and its Managing Director, Mr. Antonis Maniadakis, welcome the statements of the Minister of Shipping and Insular Policy, Mr. Panayiotis Kouroumblis, that have been published in the press regarding his intention to grant permission for the deployment of the ultra-modern vessel of the company, Cruise Ferry MYKONOS PALACE, on the Chania-Piraeus-Chania route.
MINOAN LINES’ Management, in order to receive the authorization for the deployment of Cruise Ferry MYKONOS PALACE in the above line, is fully committed to:
• Raise immediately the Greek flag on-board.
• Proceed to the manning of the vessel exclusively with Greek crew immediately after the official announcement by the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy for the approval of her deployment on the above route.
• Transfer the vessel from the 100% subsidiary company of MINOAN LINES, Minoan Italia Spa, to the parent company, following all the necessary legal procedures that are required.
MINOAN LINES’ Management expects that the deployment of Cruise Ferry MYKONOS PALACE, one of the most modern and luxurious vessels in her category, will contribute to the upgrading of sea transport in this line, will enhance the healthy competition while it will further improve the services provided to the travelling public and the commercial world.
