Greece owned livestock carrier “Nabolsi I” catches fire off Crete

(Port News) — A Greece owned livestock carrier “Nabolsi I” cought fire  in the  Mediterranean to the south off Ierapetra (Crete, Greece), the local Goast Guard search and rescue centre reported on Monday.

Two vessels, a Hellenic Coast Guard and NATO ships are conducting rescue operation at the scene trying to contain the blaze onboard the ship. No further details about the incident were immediately available.

The Panama-flagged “Nabolsi I” owned by RJA Group was sailing from Croatia and was bound for Alexandria, Egypt.
