Greece has most expensive mince meat in Europe

enikos.gr — Beef mince meat, in Greece, at a minimum of €4.50 per half kilo, is the most expensive in Europe, research from Euronews has concluded.

Trailing Greece are France (€4.32), Germany (€3.98), Malta (€3.47) and Spain (€2.97).

Greece also comes worst of in the purchasing power parity calculation, with a Greek on the minimum wage needing 1.2 hours to purchase a half kilo of beef mince meat. Immediately above Greece in this measure are Romania (1.09 hours), Hungary (0.9), Estonia (0.75) and Spain (0.6). The others are even better off
