Coca-Cola’s special bottle to commemorate history and culture of Crete

Luxury Launches.com — To commemorate the extraordinary culture and beautiful history of the island of Crete, Coca-Cola Greece and its bottling partner, Coca-Cola Tria Epsilon have curated a special bottle this summer. Gaining inspiration from the Cretan mythology and the Minoan civilisation, the campaign is to promote Crete as an international tourist destination.

If you happen to get a glimpse of the exclusive series, you will possibly notice its modern design inspired by murals of Knossos Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the famous myth of the Minotaur and the ancient ritual sport of bull-leaping in Crete, Taurokathapsia.

“We were inspired by Cretan values, tradition and history,” said Diana Birba, marketing manager for Coca-Cola Greece, Cyprus and Malta. “By depicting them in our first collectible Coca-Cola bottle for a specific region in Greece, we aim to promote Crete as a tourist destination, offer visitors the opportunity to take a unique piece of modern art memorabilia home with them, and celebrate 10 years of making our products here in Crete.”

The  limited-edition collection?can be found in one at the traveling Coca-Cola Pop-Up store, which will be touring Crete in August.

A competition  will be giving away 50 prizes of Crete holidays.
