Greek Reporter — A Greek court has sentenced a 50-year-old Bulgarian woman to life imprisonment for the murder of her husband, Vasilis Kokkinis.

The body of the 60-year-old man was discovered inside a freezer at her apartment in Kallithea, south of Athens, in January 2016.

The court also sentenced a 27-year-old female accomplice; also a Bulgarian citizen, to an 18-year jail sentence.

A third defendant received a three years suspended sentence.

The judges did not acknowledge any mitigating circumstances for the January 2015 murder of Vasilis Kokkinis.

The killer who is still at large, was hired to murder Kokkinis.  The two women then kept his body in a freezer for almost a year, and it was discovered by the third defendant in the apartment where he lived.

The prosecutor; who demanded life imprisonment for the wife, said that the wife’s motive was Kokkinis’ property.
